"SWAMI VIVEKANAND "wise counsel from his mother bhuvaneshwari devi .

" Be pure, live a clean life, defend your dignity and respectful to others. Be gentle and modest, but do not hesitate to be firm when the situation requires it. " Swami vivekanand's mother gave this advice to him.
This wise counsel moulded Narendra's character. From the time he was a child, he knew how to maintain his self-respect. He never hesitated to show respect to others, at the same time he was not prepared to tolerate unprovoked insult from anyone.
Narendra wae amazed one day when one of his father's friend treated him with contempt for no reason at all. He was unfamiliar with such an attitude, for his parents had never considered him to be too young to be treated respectfully. How strange he thought, even my father never belittles me this way. Then he stood erect like a bruised cobra and firmly said to the gentlemen 'look, there are many like you who think age and intelligence are synonymous, but that is not so'. The gentlemen readily admitted his error.
In the katha upanisad we come across Naciketa another fearless child who had great self confidence. Swami vivekanand always admired Nachikreta who had said " I may be the best or at least better than many, but I'm never the worst ".

Note:  meaning of the words use in this blog. If you need , you can refer refer this.
* contempt : feeling that a person is worthless

These are the wonderful words to admire, here we can clearly see the inner growth of mind is maturity it doesn't depend on age . I hope this is a very intelectual words to adapt in your life. Share your opinion on this blog in comment💬. Thanks for reading my blog.
